I personally like Leno better, I just think his show seems more upbeat then Letterman. I have tried to watch both but I think that Leno in my opinion is superior to Letterman. Although my personal favorite late night host is Conan OBrian

Leno, because he's more personable. Even though I watch Leno, I still click over to check the Top Ten list every night. But then, it's back to Leno.

Leno because he's not pompous and can laugh at himself; Letterman: too old and doesn't "get" a lot of stuff!

Letterman. Leno is trying to hard to be hip. I can't stand that he hired Stuttering John trying to grab Howard Stern's audience and then just has him sitting there doing nothing.

well they are both good in their own way. i usually switch back and forth between comercials or go by what guest they have. I think Letterman might be a little better, but Jay is from LA so i like that.
HOWEVER, craig ferguson who comes on after Letterman on CBS is way better than both. He is pretty new, so you can tell he is not trying to be funny and he isn't cocky or sure of himself. He is flat out hillarious, his scottish accent also helps. so if you dont mind staying up till 1 am or so, watch Craig Ferguson.
