That goes all the way back to the rules of knighthood. The rules have never changed. Even in the twenty-first century, there are brave knights who will fight for a woman who is struck. But with common law, everything is caught up in legal crap. One instance was a female who struck a man twice and when he hit her with a closed fist, she was charged with incitement. The man went free, while she had her jaw wired before she was sent off to jail.

It is in no way right for a man or a woman to hit, any such action from either one is wrong UNLESS in self defense. However, it is more condemned when it's a man because of his strength. If a woman hits a man and the man doesn't hit back, it is because- I believe- he is nobly holding back his strength. However, if another man were to hit him, I think he would send him flying lol! Unfortunately, there is a lot of hidden abuse by both men and women towards each other not just in the use physical means but by the use of abusive language too.

Women here have all said that it's never okay, and that's very good. However, we all know that there are some women out there who wouldn't bat an eye at slapping a man, or at punching him when she's angry with him. I don't care if he's cheated on a woman, she never has the right to hit him.

Some women do think that since they have a pair of **** and a snatch, that gives them the freedom to hit a man. No it doesn't, and if he hits back, then she can't say anything.

No hitting on either side.

Society will say "It's wrong either way", but durring a situation, if a woman hits a man, no one will defend the man. Simply because society, dispite the times, knows men are physically stronger. Men can take a hit from a woman and walk away. However, if a man hit a woman, he could hurt her easily.

Yes, it is 'sexist', but a justifiable sexism. Men and women are not identical. They have differences. For one, men are notably stronger.

In my eyes its not ok for a woman to hit a man either. if a woman does hit a man shes taking a big chance on getting hit back. ive been hit many times throughout my life, but never raised a hand to anyone. (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you)

i don't think either one is OK. If I hit some guy, I will totally understand if he hits me back. Society thinks its more acceptable for a woman to him a man because she isn't strong enough to do any damage.

It isn't. And any woman that strikes a man first deserves it if she gets hit back.
