We will also be relocating our family myself and our child to Las Vegas, Nv. No he is not int he military but does work for the Federal govt. I know that he is stressed and busy and I am ok with that, we just argue about how we would like things to change in our marriage. He wants me to be a certain way and I would like him to change a bit. I know that saying about being absent and the heart. One problem, I have not really missed him at all it has been a nice break from A LOT of things. Just being honest...

You didn't say what kind of training. If he's in the military, especially Army or Marines, he's propably too exhausted to give you the attention you're used to.

People with major life differences can have happy marriges, its just that those differences can't be something that interferes with the core values, beliefs and expectations of each other in a marrage.

But you can't ignore it if those differences are the basic differences between men and women.

Two good books, 1) Condoms, Bras and Straightjackets
and, 2) Why Men don't Listen and Women Can't Read Road Maps.

I suspect this would be an even more severe problem if you are emotionally all wrapped up in him and don't have any good girlfirends to keep you busy while he's gone.

And by the way, I'm sure you're proud of him and going to graduation.

Sounds like he has found someone else and wants a divorce. You really need to talk to him maybe its just the stress of being away from you.Try to hold it together until he is done traveling Sometimes when my husband goes out of town for long periods of time we fight the whole time he is gone then when he gets home everything is fine. hope everything works out Good luck

It's my opinion that he wants out. If he has mentioned it (divorce) then your relationship was over a long time ago. Best thing to do is to grant him a divorce and go on.

IT SOUNDS LIKE HE MAY NOT WANT TO PUT THE ENERGY INTO TRYING ANYMORE, AND HE KINDA WANTS TO DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO BECAUSE ITS EASIER. HIM BRINGING UP DIVORCE RECENTLY SURE DOESN'T SOUND TO GOOD AS FAR AS BEING FAITHFULL GOES THOUGH. MAYBE DON'T ANSWER SOME OF HIS CALLS AND TRY TO GET OFF THE PHONE FASTER THAN YOU NORMALLY WOULD TO AVOID FIGHTS AND IT MIGHT MAKE HIM WONDER WHAT YOU'RE DOING, OR LIKE THAT YOU'RE NOT JUST SITTING AND WAITING ON HIM. MEN SOMETIMES NEED A CHALLENGE, AND IT COULD MAKE HIM ANTICIPATE SPEAKING WITH YOU ON THE PHONE NEXT TIME. 2 SAYINGS FOR THAT ONE "ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER OR OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND".
