So if Bush had stopped 9/11, would that have meant that it would have actually been clinton stopping 9/11 or is he only to blame is it happened and would have got no credit had it not happened?

Also, how long does the old Administration have to be out of power before we can stop blaming them for current events?

Also, republicans say that it is clinton's fault that 9/11 happened, since he left office eight months earlier. If that is true, then is it not also true that the first World Trad Center attack, which occured on 2/26/93, would have been Papa Bush's fault, since he only left office five weeks earlier?

Also how come Bush never caught Bin Laden?

Also, how is bush better at protecting us aganist terrorism than clinton, if over 3000 Americans died in terrorist attacks under Bush and about 150 died under clinton?

Basically for Republicans, since they don't really have a logical belief system based on reality, you can boil their ideology down to a handful of creeds. One of them is, whatever is going wrong, don't try to fix it, make it worse and blame the Democrats, they feel it's easier to throw blame around than it is to actually come up with solutions, that is why when the Democrats get into office next term, the Republicans will blame them for everything they screwed up themselves, fortunately, since most Democrats are actually competent, it does'nt take them long to clean up the mess.

One way Bush is better is that he isn't just burying his head in the sand and ignoring the problem like Clinton did. He is actually making the hard choices and taking the hits in the press and in his popularity for doing the right thing. It's easy to just sit back and bomb an aspirin factory, it gets a lot harder when you actually order troops into a hostile area to kill the terrorists before they can attack America or our allies in the world. The problems did start long before any of the president's mentioned took office, but in the 8 years of the Clinton presidency did he do anything about terrorism? Even after the bombing of the USS Cole? And the attempted bombing of the World Trade Center in '93?

Maybe he was busy smoking one of Monica's "special" cigars.

It is niether of there faults this is just a political push to control the presidancy. The truth is that the American people over all have to blame. Each year I was in the Military I always watched as people cried about military and defense budget cuts. People want to know where those cuts go to, well it is people. The more money you cut the less people we have. With less people watching the skys, less people listening to terror attempts and less people looking for the terrorist, we have made it possible. But everyone likes to point fingers, so today it is clinton, tomorrow it is GW, and next week it will be Ragan. When in fact we have to look no further then our own living room.

I've never heard them blame Clinton, but that doesn't mean they haven't. Maybe one reason is because of the way his administration treated the military and the different intelligence agencies. Like the CIA couldn't share what it knew about terrorism with the FBI and so on. Also I think it is documented that the Sonnies(sp)offered Bin Ladin to Clinton at least on 2 differnt occasions and he turned them down for political reasons even though we had every right to try him for terrorists acts against Americans that he even bragged to the world that he did.

It's not Bush or Clinton's fault. Everything started long way before 9/11.

i would not say it grew to become into Clinton's fault. despite if he did enable them to attack us many times without attempting to hit them lower back. The Arabs have hated us ever as a results of fact that we stopped the Germans from killing all the Jews. and because we helped Israel substitute right into a rustic lower back. quite often i might say 9-11 grew to become into jimmy Carter's fault. The shah of Iran had administration of those radicals and he helped us in the chilly conflict against the Russians. whilst he mandatory our help Jimmy Carter subsidized stabbed him and allowed radical islam to take over 20% of the international's oil components. (Carter - actually the main incompetent chief in historic past) This new Iran desperate to initiate threatening oil pass by the gulf. lots so, that president Reagan had to place American flags on Kuwaiti oil tankers. (meaning any attack on Kuwait is comparable to an attack on the U. S.) this might later be reason for us to attack Saddam after he attacked Kuwait. As for having a raffle, please do not learn whilst Sudan presented at hand him over to Clinton and whilst intel comments theory he may well be at some camp on Pakistan border. you may not truthfully think of those 2 activities are a similar.

Clinton could have gotten Bin Laden. He had Russian intellegence and failed to act on it. He was too busy poking Monica Lewinki with expensive cigars and leaving DNA on her nice blue dress.
Bush is a hero.

Clinton let Osam go, ya freak! Why don't you go read up on this before you start broadcasting your ignorance? I don't have time for this. There are people who will actually learn from answers. I think I'll go find them. You're crippled too high for crutches.
