Postal Carriers are assigned an area to cover - they deliver mail to that area. A Postal carrier might be assigned to the area where he lives, but it would be rare.

It's possible if he lives in the area where he works and is assigned to the route that delivers to his home.

If he works at the PO in his area, but doesn't deliver the route for his home, he could walk over to the case of the carrier for his home and ask for his mail. He would need a supervisor to give the OK for him to take his mail, but most supervisors would agree.

Nope. They'd stick him on a different route so he doesn't rip stuff off and put it in his own mailbox.
