If you go to Victoria, you'll probably want to spend the whole week just in that city - the architecture is wonderful, and Buchart Gardens is just amazing - so much to charm you there.

Same thing with Seattle - take the Underground City tour in downtown - you'll learn stuff you never believed was even possible - and Pike Street for fun shopping, ride the monorail and visit the Space Needle - the view is worth the money.

There are ferry rides to take, and great museums if you like that stuff - so much to do! You picked a great area to vacation in! There are brochures you can pick up with more ideas and details - go and have a ball!

Thecontinual from Seattle to Victoria is moist, except you're taking the ferry. Victoria is on Vancouver Island. Vancouver is on the mainland, so so that you could do a triangle run from Seattle to Vancouver, after passing some time in Vancouver, head to Twsawwassen and take the ferry to Vancouver Island, delight in Victoria then take the ferry decrease back to Seattle. Whoops! I purely re-study your question, and also you're starting up from Washington DC, no longer the state of Washington. ok. Fly to Seattle, take the ferry to Victoria (you could walk-on and employ a motorized vehicle in Victoria) you could take the ferry from Victoria to Vancouver and counting on how lengthy you intend to stay in Vancouver, you could both employ a motor vehicle or use community transit. Seattle is a interesting position to visit - it is were given an truly good waterfront, exciting little shops and shops, and far of issues to ascertain and do. no matter if it is properly truly worth the $one hundred and sixty to make an aspect holiday is as a lot as you -- and it relies upon, too, on how lengthy everyday you've on your travels. It takes 3 hours tocontinual from Seattle to Vancouver, yet when there are lineups on the border, and there in many circumstances are, it ought to take hours and hours to get by potential of. delight on your holiday, and satisfied honeymoon!

If you want to see what seattle is like, go to Greenlake (north seattle) and walk or bike around the path, then go to starbucks or talk to someone who looks interesting and ask them about restaurants. There are good restaurants in Belltown or Greenlake, but restaurants change all the time. You probably have to take a picture from the Space Needle (overpriced) and the Pike Place Market (kind of cool) to prove you were really there. If you want to see whacked out people, go to Broadway on Capitol Hill. If you like meeting real seattle people (from India or New York or maybe even Seattle) go to Belltown and scope out a little cafe. For a boat ride, I would try the center for wooden boats http://www.cwb.org/ or argosy http://www.argosycruises.com/publiccruises/lakeseattle.cfm and take a cruise on lake washington or lake union. I would fish from somewhere on Vancouver Island (Canada)...maybe there is something out of tofino or Victoria...I don't fish. Cheers
