As with all major retailers like JCrew, Eddie Bauer, Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic, etc, Abercrombie & Fitch clothes are manufactured overseas (most likely in China). You should go into their retail stores, and look at the labels.
An "American" retailer cannot compete in the marketplace with its peers (and have a good profit margin) if it manufactured its clothes stateside. Things cost MUCH more to make in America due to unions (wages), material cost, etc.
What percentage of American consumers would be willing to pay a higher price (2x or 3x) for a basic polo made in USA? (VERY low percentage!)

primarily overseas but it depends on the specific item as well, while they may make their tee-shirts in china for example, all their shoes may be made in the US or all their denim...it depends but again, alot of it is made overseas
