Pads are used for protection and absorbtion. Pantyliners are not as absorbent and are used mainly to protect your clothing from occasional spotting.

Pads are for when you have your period - Pantiliners are for very light days, or for when you have discharge at other times during the month

Pads have more absorption for when your on your period. They are for heavy flow and they are thicker, but pas come in all sizes. Pantiliners are what I call pre-period use. You use them is you know it's almost time but you don't want to use/waste any pads. You can also use them is you have a very small flow. But they are not very protective during your period.

Pads are typically used to absorb menstrual fluid and pantiliners to absorb natural discharge.

pads have various absorbency depending on your flow, and pantiliners are usually the standard absorbant except the sizes vary.

Pads are thicker. Pantiliners aren't as thick. They are made to absorb but not as much as pads. Pads are made to absort a lot more.

Pads are meant for heavy flow. Pantyliner are for residual flow later on--like to cover the stains in your panties as your period goes away. Of course a lot of females use pantyliner all the time, just to be sure, until the flow is large enough to need a larger pad.

Pads are for periods and pantyliner are used for protecting the underwear fro vaginal discharge. You know the yellow stuff that shows up sometimes. Also pantyliner are never as thick as pads. You shouldn't use pantyliner for when your periods on you'll end up being embarrassed
