Can you keep beautiful bats like fruitbats or flying foxes?

IDK im trying to find out too. I guess in some places if you have a license then you can keep one. I would love a flying fox. Arent they just adorable?

O yes and about that freedom comment. OK lets all go free the pet snakes and bunnies and birdies. they must need to be free too even though most of their owners are taking super great care of them

It's certainly illegal to even touch them in the UK unless you are a registered bat handler.

I think only zoos are equipped to keep the larger bats. They would not make good pets.

Give the bats the freedom to fly... Thats all i can comment... It is not the matter of legal or illegal but it is the problem of cruelty.. they need freedom..

It is in certain places. My friend tells me they are great pets. I am going to get an Egyptian Fruit Bat.

I can't comment on your location, but I know that it's illegal here and most other places. They're wild animals, and need their freedom.
