Do not give him milk around meal time. He will know then that he has to eat. Don't reward him with milk either...cuz he might eat his meal to appease you and then want his milk even though his tummy is full.
Cow milk is perfectly safe. Some people just have a good immune system and some have poor. The calcium and vitamin D in milk is very healthy for your child. I don't know where people come up with some of this stuff.

First of all, do *not* try to starve him into submission. It may not work; some babies *will* starve rather than eat. But more importantly, a baby or young child (or an adult, for that matter) will dehydrate *long* before he starves!! You could end up with a child in the hospital--and probably no longer yours once child protective services (or whatever it's called where you live) hears that you refused to feed him!!
What do you mean by "doesn't like to eat"? Is he refusing *all* foods, or does he just eat really small portions? Eating only tiny amounts is *normal* for some toddlers.
Try offering smaller amounts of food. Offer different foods; maybe he doesn't like what you are giving him. Have him help you cook--a lot of kids will eat what they made even if not what *you* make for them. Prepare a plate of healthy foods and leave it in the refrigerator. Let him snack.
What, exactly, do you mean by "milk"? If he is breastfeeding, then that's fine; it will ensure that he gets all the vitamins and minerals he needs (some of them *may* be in smaller quantities than what he needs, but at least he'll be getting a well-rounded diet). Plain cow's milk is not very nutritious as a complete diet.

Are you letting him feed himself? some children are very independent and wont eat unless they are allowed to do it themselves, if he does feed himself then let him make a mess and dont stress about it or you are sending signals that food is dirty and not to be enjoyed. Most of all relax, he will eat when he is hungry and if you make a big fuss he will pick up on this and enjoy the attention. Offer him food throughout the day, if he refuses take it away without comment and try later. He will soon learn that if he doesnt take food when it is offered you wont be entertaining him with begging and bribing, he will simply go hungry till next time. Also maybe cut down on his milk as this will be making him feel full. Make eating a fun time not a stressful one. Good luck xx

My son was exactly the same! u have 2 be slightly cruel. what i did was stop giving him milk, fill a bottle with juice/water instead. keep offering food in small portions, he will eat when he's hungry. u may get a few tears but stick with it, he'll eat when he realises ur serious and that there really is no other option but 2 eat. trust me it works.

Remember, children have very small stomachs, and need to eat often, but only small amounts.
If your child will not eat, however, just wait until he is hungry. Don't give in and give snacks, wait until he is hungry enough to eat the proper food you give him. This never fails.
Milk is for babies. If he is weaned, then do not give cows milk, it will mess your kid up. We NEVER gave our kids cows milk. My daughter was two before she got her first cold, and that happened right after we had visited the grandparents for three days and they had fed her candy and junk.
SUCCESS!

My son would eat nothing but macaroni cheese and then he stopped eating that. I took him to the doctor and the doctor told me if he was drinking milk and eating bread and butter he would be fine. Soon after he was eating anything and everything.
A suggestion would be to give him smaller portions and to make it fun.

Don't give him milk. So when he gets hungry for sure he is gonna eat real food. Kids are smart, so he is not gonna die of starvation. For him milk is easy, because he just suck and swallow.

It is not possible. He may not be liking the taste of the food you give. You have to experiment with food with different taste.Vanilla ,chocolate flavours are liked by children.Try change in food or taste. If nothing works please see a child specialist.
