An average person usually requires 6-8 hours of sleep. Athletes need more sleep than others as their bodies need to repair from vigorous workouts and such.

Naps are a good way to get through the day instead of using stimulants (ie coffee and caffine), but they shouldn't replace a good night's sleep.

it doesn't really. That's what's recommended. You can sleep a half hour so long as it's been a good rejuvenating sleep although that's not recommended on a daily basis to be healthy. But i have a regular sleep of around 5 hours a night. It's good enough for me.

The recommended sleep time is 8 hours. Some health care pros believe that every lack of hour of sleep cost a person about 32 % lack of consentration.

the best hours is eight but to find it you should have your vacation now because when you are in vacation you should forget everything and sleep very well.
