That day and the days immediately following will forever be burned in my memory; lost several friends at our American Express office there; plus, being in the travel business, after the airports were shut down for the next week, it was emotionally draining trying to get our poor clients back home; At 1200noon, we'd heard that they might close the roads; we couldn't do anything more, so my first thought was to pickup my son at school; do you know the lead agent wasn't going to "allow" me to leave; I told her she had no choice, my family comes first, left, picked up my son and watched the TV for almost 24 hours; went into work the next day trying to get people home....terrible time!
