I have always heard that people from USA are called "Americans". I am from Cuba, shouldn't I be called American too? (I am not trying to steal anybody's rights, feel free to write down there whatever you want without any offenses.)

Honey, if you hear a white american say "God bless America" they're most likely referring only to the U.S.A! But yeah, the whole continent--South and North is caled the American Continent, so everybody who lives in this continent is indeed American.

Estadounidense only works in Spanish. United Statesians are Americans... uh how about, United States of Americans? And it's only referring to the United States of America, not all of North America. I suppose North American is more accurate, but then that includes Cuba too. In South America, that's usually the term for any Northerners, but I dunno, it's strange. In English, it's usually Americans, because no other country uses America in its title--I stopped caring.

USA is a country on the continent of North America

when asked what nationality they are, you never hear people say " I'm North American "....they say " I'm Canadian, or American, or Mexican "...

same thing for countries in South America....

people say " I am Brazilian, or I'm Argentine "......

not " I'm South American "....

so, if your country is Cuba, you say " I'm Cuban "

Most people think of it as a USA thing, with no offense to people in other parts of the Americas.

It is a cultural thing from the song "God bless America"
In the song and saying, it refers to the US, but that was made by man. The song should say "God bless the whole world"

PS I'm from the US, but I'm just visiting until I go to my home country, Heaven. Yeah, I'm a Christian.

They are refering to America (as in the United States of America), the name of our country. Not the continent, North America.

That is not the intent of the heart in America, however you can say GOD BLESS AMERICA AND CUBA and knowing that God will know your heart so that He may answer that prayer.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14

Isn't that a fantastic promise!!!!!

They definitely are referring only to the U.S.A. People that say that seem to have no regard for the well being of the rest of the world. Maybe thats why the rest of the world hates us.

If you want them to be blessing Cuba, then consider them blessing it. If not, don't.

See how easy that is?
