He's Dad was a Nazi? You are aware that Nazi party (yes it was a political party just like the Democrats that got into power threw a public election) and ended in 1945 with the end of WW2?
What was he part of the SS, was he indicted for war crimes?? or do you just assume every soldier fighting for Germany in World War two was an SS soldier and part of the Nazi party? If you do, you are dead wrong and completely misinformed, it was a small division compared to the actual Germany army sort of like Navy Seals, the real German army was no affiliated with the Nazi party in any way or form. Man are you ever a close-minded racist person, you sound so uneducated...
Plus it doesn't matter who he's father was, you are not voting for him, you are voting for Arnold and Arnold only represents himself and his politics....

...And why not, if they have made the commitment to become U.S. citizens and work in this country and pay their taxes here--some even fighting in foreign wars in the service of this country--yeah, after years of raising immigrant children, I see no reason to limit the dream based on where their parents conceived them. We have a number of Vietnamese children born in Southeast Asia who fled here when Vietnam fell to the communist. I would hope someday that such a child would rise up and lead the country that accepted them. Now that would be something to see---like waiting for the first Catholic president or Jew, or woman, or black. We may even have our first Hispanic president--someday./ And by the way, Arnold is NOT a Nazi you silly moron. If anything, we should pass a law making it illegal for you to have children or even to vote regardless of where you have been born. Go back to sleep.

one of the great glories of the U.S. constitution is that it is meant to apply generally to many different situations, and the process of amending it is intentionally difficult. hence the recent difficulties with amendments to ban gay marriage and flag burning. a majority of U.S. citizens seem to understand -- at present -- that the constitution should not lightly be amended, even if they support, in general, the proposition for which it would be amended. Specifically, reasonable people can think flag burning is bad but it would be worse to amend the constitution to prohibit it.
With this as background, the issue of amending the constitution to allow foreign-born U.S. citizens from being elected President should be decided on a broader basis than whether or not Gov. Schwarzenegger should be able to run for President.
I used to think that this was a reasonable general provision adopted by our Founding Fathers and should be maintained. Then I found out, to my surprise, that it was specifically aimed at keeping Alexander Hamilton -- who was born in the West Indies -- from running for President. In light of this history, I would be in favor of an amendment to allow foreign-born U.S. citizens to run for President, but not because it would or would not allow Schwarzenegger to run for President. On balance I think it's the right thing to do.

No way. This is a necessary part of our constitution. How can we expect foreign-born people to have an understanding of our policies, our principles, and our values, when our natives don't even have that understanding? Take, for example, yourself. He's not a Nazi. He's a liberal Republican. Close, but no cigar. Please play again.
