It's possible that, someday, we may be able to diagnose psychopaths who are predisposed to become vicious killers while they are still children, before they commit any crimes.
If this were so, what do you think should be done with them? Would it be right to destroy them out of hand?

Never saw Minority Report...it features that well-known nutball, Tom Cruise.

Victory,
If it came to that,
that we could
"diagnose psychopaths who are predisposed"
hopefully, we would have found a treatment
for it as well.
With no treatment,
we would have absolutely
no right to do anything to them
if they have not committed a crime.
So, no, it would not be right to destroy
them out of hand.
Innocent until proven guilty.
Wish you the best.

I'll answer your question with a question . If the psychopath who is predisposed to become a vicious killer lives next door to your children or grand children ,what would your answer be?

Sounds like you've watched Minority Report too many times. Just because someone is predisposed to do something, doesn't mean they will do it.

Ooh good question. I'd say killing them because of something they may do is in the future is to big brother for me. But if we lock them up then we would pro bally need extra facilities just for that. Which would get very expensive.

If that were ever possible, I doubt that they would murder psycopaths like you say. By then they would have made or been working on a remedy to mental health problems such as psychopaths.

Society has a right to destroy mad dogs doesn't it. If and when such a thing could be done is probably moot, but law abiding and ordinary people need to be protected nonetheless.

No need for any action on our part - by then the penal system and the medical system will be working together to reprogram ones genetic makeup to delete bad behavior.

Master Yoda says: see into the souls of many men I have, killed none for what I see. the choice to do wrong or right is what sets us apart, take away that and take away all that we are.

If you're even thinking about killing a child who may be pre-disposed to murder then, you have been pre-disposed yourself.
Murder is murder unless you are physically defending yourself against an attacker.

No, give them a chance to get saved and God can heal them. If they refuse, then put them on a leper colony so to speak.
