Since I've started using myspace, I've found and restarted communications with freinds I havent' seen or heard from in over 10 years. So for me, Its a great thing. I dont' think its good that 12 year olds can have a myspace page and use it to find dates. But for adults, it can be a great thing.

Myspace itself is neither bad nor good. It is just a place to have your own little webpage, thus My Space. It is what people make it. Yahoo Answers is a place where people can get answers to their questions, but there will always be jacka**es that will try to ruin everything. As far as having child molesters looking for girls..have you seen some of the pages? Some of these girls give their names, pictures, and use sexual language. They may as well hang up a sign that reads "come get me". Not that this excuses any bad behavior, but it is like anything else...we must teach our children to use it productively.

It can be both. The negative publicity alone doesn't make it bad, and they have security settings on there that make it impossible for someone to see your entire profile without you agreeing to be their friend first.
It also has a setting where no one can ADD you as a friend unless they know your full name.
Some of the people are bad on there, but I'm sure that there are bad people on this site, too.

its just like any other space on the net , its good and bad , good for ppl who use it right bad for ppl who don't . the net is so fcked up anyway , they tell you don't tell ur real age or real name in 1 breath but in the next they say ur into underage girls wtf . anyway i realized long ago that the Internet has a double standard , they want ppl to lie about things like their age and place they live and their name but then that traps guys into thinking the person their talking with or viewing on my space is older than they really are . in that aspect the whole net sucks , not just my space

I think its a lot of fun for a lot of people, but sometimes people give away too much info about themselves and if that got into the wrong hands, it could be a much bigger problem than you ever thought of.

I love MySpace...it is highly addictive, for me anyway. It is a good way to tell people about yourself, and have fun.

it's a good website to know like whats going on in the pop culture and stuff. its also good cuz since its so popular u can talk to ppl that u havent talked to in the longest time. its also a good way to promote things. so it's good!

i like it. its easy to use, you can make adjust the settings so that if anyone wants to add you as a friend they have to know your last name or email address. and if they know one of those, you still have the choice of accepting their request or not . ive gotten in touch with many people from the past. i think its great.

I like it a lot because several of my friends are on there. Also, they give you lots of options of communicating such as posting blogs for anyone who wants to subscribe, or posting bulletins so all of your friends will see, or of course regular messages, etc.
