When you are dealing with matters of the heart (I am assuming you are talking about a boyfriend that has broken your friend's heart) it is not easy to "move on." It takes time. It is painful. As a woman, I have noticed that it APPEARS as though this is much tougher on a female than a male. I say APPEARS, because of the way I've seen men handle a broken heart. They go immediately into another relationship,or go out and get immediate satisfaction with anyone in a skirt. Meanwhile, a girl sits at home, cries, talks to her family and her friends...rehashes everything 1,000 times and generally obsesses. BEEN THERE.
I hope that if the relationship was not a healthy for her, that she will learn soon, that this is a true blessing in disguise. Whatever happens, it's good that she has a friend like you to console her. God bless both of you.

Sometimes, they can't move on too quickly. Some people need time. Especially if it was a first relationship, a long relationship or a deel relationship. It all depends on the person and how they cope with things. Just be there for her and let her know that if she needs to talk you're there to listen, that will definitely help...

Women don't really form attachements easily and are prone to forget about their mate, 5 seconds after they step out the door.
Broken heartedness on her part is basically her indulging in drama. In other words, she really doesn't care that he is gone. What she cares about is playing the part of the broken hearted ex-girlfriend.
If you act uninterested, she will basically stop playing that game. The very minute she is with another man (which tends to happen very rapidly), it will be like her old boyfriend never existed. In her mind, he actually doesn't exist.....and never did.
This is one of the most important things that men need to know about women. It has dramatic implications for how we interact with them and the decisions we make regarding them.
Feel free to screw her brains out if you want. You will be shocked at how much it just doesn't matter.

Look ahead. Looking back will make you crunch. Do not live among those who do not give you your worth. Look at the horizon and you will find a bright new beginning!
