I think Bio Diesel is very practical.It needs little or no alteration to diesel vehicels.Once Diesel prices exceeds vegetable oil prices, Bio diesel will definitely replace standard Diesel in the near future.But I doubt it demands could be met because consumption keeps raising & ecology (farming oil plants on a large scale) could be affected.

Hydrogen, Ethanol, Bio-diesel, fuel cells.....all of these things could replace oil one day
