We've tried Huggies Swimmers twice, but both times the diapers leaked before we even got to the pool with our daughter.

Huggies are by far the best, but none of the brands are made as a replacement to a diaper. The ONLY purpose to them is that they don't absorb the water from pool/lake/river/ocean/whatever. They will hold your child's BM, but won't do much for urine. Wait until you are at the pool before you try to change your daughter into the Swimmers.

the swimmers are designed to be used in the pool only. so I put it on right before I get in, and as soon as I get out. I have pampers and have never had a problem. (sometimes we go through 4 diapers if we are somewhere for the whole day.)

Are you sure you are getting the right size? I've never had a problem with the huggies. I also am not sure if anyone else makes them. If they fit properly they should not leak, as that is what they are made for.

They all leak. I have tried all of them and the only thing they are good for is keeping the poop in their diaper. I always just wait to put it on my son right before we go in the water. Then take it off as soon as we are done. None of them hold pee!!!

I change my daughter at the pool, and I just time our visits to be in between bms.
I use lil swimmers.

Lil Swimmers are pretty good. Pretty much everyone in my moms meet up group uses them.

That's because they're not meant to absorb anything, they're more of a poop catcher really. Maybe you should change her right at the poolside.
