I refuse to use glue traps, they are evil inventions.
They live behind the stove so maybe poison would work? I have 6 pets but they cant get behind the stove. Any ideas please?

I guess Ill go with traditional mouse traps. the neck breakers.
I repeat I will NOT use those horrible glue pads. Ive seen mice chew their legs off trying ot get off of them and what go they die of? Starvation? FRIGHT? No way I refuse.
Do mice have souls?
I mean I know they do in buddhism, but in catholicism, I dont think they do. I am not a wimp, I just dont like killing things. Here the mouse is just doing what mice do and he ges for his next meal and his neck gets snapped

You have several options... (I recomend 2,3,and 1 in that order...Posion is quite painful, can harm pets and children, doesn't work very effectively, and can make the mice stink terribly if you can't find the bodies. Snap traps are better but still mean. Live traps are great if you have a place to dispose of them later like in the woods or someplace similar...)

1. Exterminators carry and will sell you a product that not only poisions the mouse but coagulates the blood so that the mouse doesn's stink. For the life of me I can't remember the name of them but it come is small white bags (about two inches by two inches) and works great.

2. Live traps for mice can be purchased (one is even made that can catch several at once) won't harm you pets and children and are humane.

3. Victor snap traps are quick and don't "torture" the animal as a glue board would. For the best effectiveness load them with a minute amount of peanut butter.

There's a new trap - I belive in Home Depot or Loews - it's very humane - but not very effective (it uses a gently jaw trap that grasps mice by the tail). Or you can use the in-box traps which traps the mice inside boxes, but does not let them out.

There's something called "one bite" that will poison them. It makes them thirsty, so they go outdoors to find water. Once they drink the water, it activates the poison, so they die outside. Not so humane, really, but it works. It comes in bars, so you just cut off a chunk and put it behind your stove. Where I live, Ace Hardware sells it.

poison could be bad for your pets.

how about a high powered shop-vac?

could stick or glue regular spring traps on a yard stick and shove under/behind stove. (makes it easier to place and remove)

poison is rather cruel(they suffer for a few minutes). I have never seen a mouse in a traditional spring loaded trap that didn't have it's neck broke.BAM ,ONE BLOW AND THATS IT.

remove the pets for now and do what you must to remove those pest... now they were'nt humane when they chewed into your cereal box on the table or left droppings in something you never suspected and properly ingested. they are germ carrying .
