Make sure you get a business plan that is very complete. Then start with the Small Business Administration then talk to SCORE. You will need to talk to a business coach. They have resources in where to get help. Some times all you need is a great plan and the funding comes from outside investors.
Good luck.

To get started, I suggest contacting the Small Business Administration Financing Page (SBA) – links below. Entrepreneur also offers a great site dedicated to money & finance – see below.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Free Money for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs by Laurie Blum
* Finding Money: The Small Business Guide to Financing (Small Business Series) by Kate Lister, Tom Harnish
* Financing Your Business Dreams With Other People's Money: How and Where to Find Money for Start-Up and Growing Businesses by Harold R. Lacy
* No Cash No Fear: Entrepreneurial Secrets to Starting Any Business with No Money by Terry Allen
* Starting on a Shoestring: Building a Business Without a Bankroll by Arnold S. Goldstein

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

You are going to have to be a very good salesman.
And I'm not talking about selling your product.
You have to sell your plan to some people with money.
You are going to get no loans (or at least no loans on favorable terms) without some kind of asset for the lender to attach to and a better credit rating than you apparently have.
You can try to get a loan from a credit union or a local bank, but without collateral and decent credit, you'll likely only get stuck with high interest unsecured credit at sky high rates.
Which is not a good part of any business plan.
The best idea may be to try to make good friends with some people who'll loan you money on a contract you draw up.

Find a friend who might have enough money to get the business going. Present him/her with your plan and see if they may be interested in investing as a silent partner maybe.

Find a generous relative or find a prospective capital investor. If its a good plan, you shouldnt have a problem getting funding.
