A lot of people I know, in univeristy, are just so eager to graduate early. They're taking insane courseloads, courses all through the summer, just so they can graduate a semester early. My point is why put yourself through all that stress, rather than just taking a step back, looking at what you can do, and then go from there. So what if I graduate like a year after you. At least I'll have my sanity. What's your opinion on early graduation, from either high school or university?

I graduated early because half way through school I realized I didn't have enough money and I had to work to help pay tuition. I crammed in as many courses as I can during the regular session because tuition was the same no matter how many units you take. I worked flexible hours at the school library to help pay the bills. I managed to graduate a semester early so I could move back home to leech off my parents. But if one can afford taking his/her time, I recommend a slower pace. College is pretty much your last chance to have fun and be carefree.

I'm graduating university early, in 3 years, by taking insane course loads and 14+ hours during the summer because 1) i want to travel; the way i figured it, my parents would have spent roughly $10,000 on my fourth year of college, well why not instead take that money and travel abroad and earn a cultural education without the school work. and 2) i cannot stand school. i graduated high school early because i got tired of the way people acted. i was ready to be treated like an adult. i'm graduating college early because i can't stand being talked down to by professors who think they're wonderful simply because they have a masters. i just cannot stand things, and so i rush through them to get out of there.

Probably to save money... books, room and board are expensive so to not have to pay it for an extra semester or two saves a lot. I did that when I was in college - at one point I was taking 24-26 credit hours a semester.

well, to me a lot of the appeal is, the faster I get through school, the faster I'll have a degree, the faster I can put that on a resume, the faster I can get a real job that applies to my degree. Plus if I go to grad school I dont want THAT to take forever, so why not do undergrad ASAP so I can move on? you have a good laid back approach though, i respect that

I agree with you totally.
Some people are just programmed different. Some people lift insane amounts of weight over their heads at the gym. I don't get it. I see that much weight and I rather just leave it there. It's not like I go out trying to pull trees out of the ground just to get stronger. Some people just do things different.

save money most of all.
for some, maybe they want to get out of school and into the workplace asap.
this may be the right decision for some ppl, but i think it's good, like you said, to take your time (not too long, mind you) and retain mental and physical health. :P

Time=money. Plain and simple, the sooner I can get out of college, the sooner I'm making money so that I can pay back loans.
