I use Avon but it is hard to find an Avon lady so I was wanting to know which brand out of Maybelline and Cover Girl are better and why. What does Cover Girl have that Maybelline doesn't or visa versa?????

If you're going to the drugstore, I would choose L'Oreal or Revlon over either of these. That's not your question though, so I'll try to answer :)
Cover Girl's foundations are a little better than Maybelline's, there are more different textures and the colors are mostly good. Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse is your best option in that line. Cover Girl's Outlast lip color is good also for a long-wearing lip color, and IncrediFull isn't bad either. I'm not impressed with Cover Girl's eyeshadows or blushes, they're kind of gritty, don't go on that well, and break easily. I do like the Dream Mousse eyeshadow and blush from Maybelline. Cover Girl's Lash Exact mascara is a very good one if you're looking for length and no clumps. Maybelline has some OK mascaras, and although the Great Lash (green & pink) is a classic, it's easily outclassed by the XXL and anything from L'Oreal.

maybelline and cover girl are both the best store bought brand but i would have to say use maybellines full and soft mascara because it works so good i use it every day its a soft touch on your lashes and it doesnt clump them together while it brings the lashes out and makes them look longer even though they arent but use cover girl eye shadows and blushes their eye shadow can look natural and glamorous either way you want it even your everyday casual look wich is the best look on lots of people but maybellines foundation is the VERY BEST! it gives you a deep bold look brings out the beauty of your skin!

Maybelline works better with my skin. In terms of colorwise, and my skin doesn't break out like when I use CoverGirl.
