It was a move of a real man that has pride and does not take **** from anybody. World cup final and he blows it all up! It takes balls...

I also have a feeling that Materazzi insulted his wife. Just a feeling, no matter what everyone has been saying...

What a stupid man, to be remembered this way, even people who never followed soccer now they know and will remember Zidane in this terrible way, and for the Italian and what he said, just attend any sports and you will hear all sorts of provocative remarks, but very seldom the response is as grave as Zidane....shame on you Zidane

Even though I feel no one should have to put up with a personal insult, I think athletes have to take more care in their actions and settle differences out of the public eye. Children look up to athletes and emulate their behavior - whether they like it or not athletes are role models. As such they need to act accordingly in the public view.

It was one of the sweetest things i had ever seen. That Italian guy got lit up. Bonehead move though probably cost his team the world cup

Well if the allegations made against Materazzi (please excuse the spelling!) are true, then I think Zidane had ever right to kick his ****. It was only one head butt, and wasn't to the face. Go Zidane!
