You don't mention the reason why you don 't want to be friends with her. If you are too rude she may want to get back at you for hurting her feelings, and probably make up gossips about you in school.
The best thing to do is next time she aproaches you and you are with friends is to excuse yourself from your friends, just a little distance and in private tell her in a polite but firm way, that you don't think, you girls, have anything in common and that you are not interested in being friends with her, tell her "I don't want to hurt your feelings but I'm not interested in being your friend".
In the future is also a nice and polite way to break up with a boyfriend, and while you are a teenager, having your friends close by is your "protection barrier" and that prevents the offended part from being nasty to you. Chanches are her feelings will be hurt, but whe she cools off she will appreciate you were sensitive in your rejection and you will not have made a free enemy.

Tell her directly you dont want to be friends. Its more polite. All people want to hear honesty, not embellished stories or ignoring a girl. Ignoring a girl could also be seen as childish, or is she is young enough she may take it in a way in which it may be conveyed that you like her. Becareful but tell the truth that you dont want to be friends. Be blunt, quick to the point, and don't add anything on. You don't need to just tell her that you don't want to be friends, but not in a rude manner as well otherwise things may get sticky.

Telling a girl that you don't wanna be friends is more respectful and polite than just ignoring her. If you ignore her she just might think you are busy, and not get the picture. But if she gets the picture, she will probably be hurt. Now if you tell her, she will get and see the picture. She will still hurt but most likely, she'll hurt less.

tell her directly. She has a right to know that you don't want to be friends. Don't take the cowards way out and just ignore her.

If you tell her, she'll be hurt, but she'll get over it.
If you ignore her, she'll be angry and might wreak havoc on your life. Poison your milkshakes and toilet paper your house. Purposely run over your cat.
Actually, she might do that either way. But if I was the girl in this situation, I would want to be told. It's more polite in the long run.

If she isn't bright enough to figure it out when you ignore her, telling her may be the only way.
More polite is to play stupid, as if you don't understand she wants you.

It will probally be quicker and easier for you if you just tell her out right. I dont know if either way will be easier for her depending on how much she values her friendship but I think telling her is probally the best way. Just try and be gentle.
