Hi Folks,

Thanks for helping me out. I reside in India.

The little knowledge I have about PayPal is that you need to have payapal account ( free ) and money in your account. Only then the customer will be able to transfer money.

I need typical software/tool to accept credit card payment on my website from the credit card. I checked on the web but most of them are expensive options for a small scale ecommerce.

If you are in the US check out Google's new payment facility
Cheaper than paypal on fixed charge and percentage
Ebay are getting twitchy about it

you may want to open a paypal account, get a application reported as "paylock generator", which could make a paynow button from paypal. you may want to open a clickbank account. you may want to sign up for a procuring cart provider that techniques mastercard funds for you. or you may want to set it up jointly with your economic corporation even with the very incontrovertible certainty that that would want to be the most severe priced way.

Paypal has some great "shopping cart" options which have very low fees.

PayPal, I'm not sure, but Google Checkout may work for you too, but I haven't tried using it yet.
