I'd have to say the guitar solo between Paul McCartney and his lead guitarist, from Average White Band. This is on "Tripping the Live Fantastic" from 1989-90. This is a redo of the guitar solo from the end of side 2 of Abbey Road from 1969.

Peter Frampton, "Off The Hook", from the DVD "Live In Detroit". It does not appear on an album. The tone and sustain are what makes Peter Frampton.

I agree with rob - Loan Me A Dime by Duane Allman (Boz Skaggs on vocals)

OOPs I just saw the word "live". I would say any solo on the Allman Bros - Live At The Fillmore album.
