*Please not this is not meant as a woman bashing exercise at all, but just to prove how MOST not ALL women are when money is around*--The test---> A friend of mine is one of the managers at BMW dealer here in town, and we wanted to do a test over in Scottsdale AZ ( A high end part of phoenix) to prove just how shallow women can be. Hes a pretty good looking guy.. Black 6'3 190 something so hes no troll. What we did is he dressed in "normal" street clothes ( not bum just everyday joe) and had him pull up in a 1992 Toyota celiaca at a very nice street café in the afternoon. The test was easy..he would make sure the women would see him get out of his car, and he would order lunch, and try to make convo with the women when he could. ( asking for numbers and such) he got not 1 #. Day 2....he now drives up in a 2007 BMW 760Li and is Gucci head to toe he gets out of car and proceed to have lunch. asked 10 women for #'s and ALL 10 gave him there number. did we prove our point?

NOTE----> some want to know they type of women that he was approaching and also his look, and if everyone say his car. He latterly looks like seal lol thats the best way i can describe him, The total cost of his day 2 clothes together was over $1200. Day one about $70 at most. Every test person who he talked to saw his car's both times ( granted they were a different group from day 1 and two) The females were a mix of black whites and a few Hispanics all late 20's -late 30's He is 29 years old.

Also a side note. If you chose to bash me personally, but leave no contact info then you response is invalidated. Criticizing the study is just fine however. Thank you

Oh ya....not just women either men are the same flippin way.
sad but true.
When I drove my cadilac and had my huge home life was great. Now I start over with a paper box and my new job with the city...the ladies there didn't think I was good enough after they saw my house. I had EVERYTHING AT ONE TIME THEY DID....
All I can say to your test is amen....
try the same thing with a fat woman and a thin one and watch everyone drop like flies. The thin one is all accepted and the fat one is ignored. People are fickle. Power, money and beauty.

First, you didn't use the same population so this is an invalid experiment. Take it from someone who has a B.A. in psychology and did graduate Honors in the Major because she did a thesis in a lab and tested subjects.
Then, I went on to get an MBA and took a job in finance because I do want to make some money (though I am still considering the Ph.D. to professor option.)
I wouldn't depend on a man to support me. But, I won't likely end up with a bum if I cannot relate to him on any level. Also, I would be likely to be just as turned off by someone in all Gucci who thought they were God's gift to the planet.
Does that help you at all? Treat individuals as just that. By clumping people into stereotypes, you are not helping anything. And, many men are just as shallow when it comes to women.

I don't think so... You have to do it a large # of times...Just to get some sort of good idea. For all you know 5 of those ten woman could have seen him the day before and wanted to give him their # then. Or They could have been a bunch of horny woman on their way to a bachelorette party on day 2. Or your friend could have felt more confident dressed up as apposed to dressed down. Sometimes that causes a person to have a different outward appearance a less friendly one, There are too many variables that must be accounted for two days is not enough.
also if you want to talk about shallow isn't it the same with most men and larger woman?

Money is a turn on for a lot of women.
It might not always be money, but most women want security these days.
I've done my own tests, and I feel that money doesn't really matter if you have enough charm, but if you can't even afford a newer car then you have a lot stacked against you. You should've used a 92 BMW or used a 2007 toyota.

No, you proved that people who live in the high end part of town are shallow. I could have told you that. Or try an experiment where two girls walk into a cafe, one an average looking blonde with big boobs, and the other a cute brunette with a small bust. If the blonde gets more passes, are men shallow?
All people can be shallow.

Not a scientifically sound test but you'd probably get the same results if you tested 1000 women. Women are genetically predisposed to seek someone who will take care of them. This goes back to the cave women who woulds sourvive if in a group dominated by a strong male figure or leader-thus their genes sourvived-and are still present in modern day women.

The way you dress is typically a reflection of your economic standing and your personality. It's no secret that women like cleanly dressed men who have a lot of assets. It's a biological drive to find a man that can raise a family - not a fatal personality flaw.
It may not be fair to poor or badly dressed people, but it's reality. Human nature.

A woman could just as easily do this type of experiement, changing the variables; wearing a fat suit for instance on the first day, and on the second day a tight low cut dress that exposed her boob job and flat stomach.
This is an unrealistic experiement. Objection your honor! Leading the witness!

Are you sure they saw his car? It could have been more to it. The clothes he wore the day before could have look dirty even though they were supposed to be average joe stuff. Did he get a hair cut or look just plain neater on day two than day one? What type of women were there on day one and two. What I mean is what race and age? That could play a major role. The availability of the women also. More singles on day two than day one.

Interesting experiment. Unfortunatly, I think that a lot of women are that way. The only problem that I could think of is if the crowd of women was different. Maybe day one they were all Louis Vuitton-clad, and day two they are typical average women. I doubt that's the case, but it's possible.
