Shouldn't it be Sean Bean <-- Bawn... Or Seen --> Sean Bean....

My son's name is Sean,my hubby picked the name so I picked the spelling. A-lot of people pronounce Seen.The English language is the hardest to learn i hear,Maybe this is why.I'm sure Sean is not the only word that this applies to.I suppose someone changed the spelling of it a long time ago,to be different and it stuck.I personally picked this spelling because i think it looks better.

Because their word origins are different. Bean is Germanic whereas Sean has Norman French origins.
