I don't know why it would make a difference, but I'm sure that it goes along with the psychological shaping of inmates. The more you take away as a CO, the more obediance(to an extent).

Well to be honest I'm a ex-convict & I only did 18 months in a state jail it was my first and only time.I have been out 4 years. However to get back too your question. I don't see the harm in it at all. What really doesn't make sience. Is that offender's are not allowed nude picture's but they don't want them to perticipate in same sex relation either. How are they suppose to relive themselves. I would rather they got there thrills off a simple photo.Rather than spending half the day watching offenders go from bunk to bunk just to get off and the other half onwritting out ticket's. I mean noone can go long periods of time not reliving themselves. Like you said as long as they don't do it in your prences it shouldn't matter. And as long as the officer's are getting involved.

I used to work at a prison. I would rather them look at that and spend a few extra minutes in the restroom, than to gun down an officer, or do sexual harm to another inmate. To much hiv/aids and other diseases running rampant through there. Once they get out, IF they do, they bring it home to their wifes/husbands. Also, there is a lot of pressure on officers, they are getting less and less rights.... photos make a good babysitter.

The federal factor will pay below maximum states. The retirement isn't almost as good both. i'd strongly recommend the California branch of Corrections. They pay extra proper than the federal equipment. maximum prisons are in reasonably populated factors the position the cost of residing is a lot decrease. the benefits are good and also you've were given a similar retirement as maximum police officials interior the state (3%/50 - meaning you'll arise to ninety% of your base pay for existence after 30 years of service -- no longer a foul gig). good success. i'd bypass with being a State Trooper myself. Corrections is a demanding gig.

Well this question poses a dilemma. Firstly to give the photo to him may help eliminate some pent-up energy/need, and this is a better alternative to raping someone. On the other hand this may only feed his need and with having no other outlet for it, may encourage him to seek out an undesirable alternative.
My opinion however, is not to allow him to have it since we don't know who will act in what fashion.

I say let them look but they also need taught to respect the other sex ( guys or girls) and no way should child pics be allowed.
I guess I say "normal" naked is ok but nothing we would call degrading or obsene

the separation from society and all its pleasures, even the base and vulgar ones is the whole point
besides, why tantalize someone with an unacheivable goal?

i say it makes a lot of sense NOT to give them these kinds of pictures---they will only get all frustrated because of what the picture does to them then you have fights, etc.

I'm on the outside (thank heavens), so I really don't care what they read. . .I suppose whatever makes them better prepared for life after incarceration. . .you'd know better than me what's good for them.
