I am 37 weeks pregnant and whenever I use the bathroom I notice clumps of white discharge in the toilet, can anyone explain if this is normal and if this is little bits of my mucus plug coming out at a time or what is going on. Thank you.
This is my second pregnancy. I was induced with my first. Currently I am 2cm dilated and -1 station.

no, your mucus plug actually looks like mucus.....chances are you body is just cleaning itself out for the pending birth. Same thing happened to me and I thought I had a yeast infection, but the doctor told me that it is your bodies way of protecting itself from infection when your cervix is open or getting ready to open.

The mucus usually is tinged pink from small amounts of blood. It sound like discharge which is perfectly normal unless it has an odor then it may be an infection of some sort.

It could be your mucus plug or leukoria from fluxuating hormones.
Your time is close, though. Smile, girl. This pregnancy may be over any day, now.

It is normal.
It might be your plug, but if there is no blood in it then probably not.
If you are concerned about it the best way to ease your mind is to call your OBGYN. They hear questions all day and don't mind the calls. I know I called mine quite a bit.

Sounds like you need to call your ob Dr. in the AM if you don't go in to labor before morning. It could be a yeast infection too which you don't want to have when you deliver if at all possible

Perfectly normal! Unless you notice blood (bright red, not pinkish streaks, or brownish streaks), or start feeling pain, or have a sudden gush of water (I'm presuming they broke your water the first time), then you are still doing good.

When you're hours from having your baby, even more of that slimy stuff, will come out....

IT IS NOT NECESSARILY YOUR MUCUS PLUG.. IT COULD BE YEAST... WE TEND TO GET THAT QUITE OFTEN DURING PREGNANCY,,,WE GO THROUGH SO MUCH!!!! (HORMONES) BUT IF YOU DON'T SEE ANY PINK I WOULD NOT SUGGEST IT BEING THE MUCUS PLUG... BUT ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU ARE REALLY CONCERNED.!!! GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS!!!!

It definatly sounds like your plug I think you are fine. I have had 2 children and going on my 3rd.

Thats normal its your mucus plug...as long as you dont have any blood your good...
