He is a complete worthless person in a completely worthless United Nations. Why do we have this? It doesnt work, they dont care and only worry about lining their own pockets. A select few countries actually participate and the ones that dont outnumber the ones that do. Everytime Coffee Annon speaks, I just think ..."please shut up" I think all people, Libtard and neocon agree...Coffee and the UN are a waste.

I don't know what the qualifications for elder statesman are. But he is bumbling hypocritical idiot, who just happens to be a pretty good politician. Otherwise he would have lost his job after the oil for food scandal. Or after what happened in Africa with the UN troop sex scandal. Or just who was it that was supposed to disarm the terrorist in Lebanon.
The UN is a good forum, but as for solving any problems I can't really think of any they've actually solved.

Absolutely the latter. And didn't he place his son in some high political position and the kid was caught embezzling funds? He's a wimp posing as a peacemaker. He reminds me of the old hippies of the 60s who denounced military conservatives but had no productive alternatives to offer. If you're not part of the solution you really ARE part of the problem.

a little of both probably. I thought really highly of him until the oil for food scandal, and his son's involvement. I thought he handled that poorly. I think the UN needs a much stronger frontline if it is going to be of any use.
