You probably have programs running in the background that interrupt the hibernation sequence, even a screen saver can interfere. You should make sure that nothing that is not essential to the computer's operation is running before you put it into hibernation. Be also aware power spikes can cause the PC to awaken prematurely as well, get a power board with a voltage regulator and spike inhibitor to protect your system. Hope that helps, good luck!

You'll need to change your settings.
First click on your "Start Menu", select "Control Panel" then under "Display", check if you've enabled the hibernation feature.
This is accessible by clicking onto the screen saver under the Display Properties menu window.
Check the box for enable hibernation if you haven't already & the rest should be OK.
Hope this helped.

Do you use a wireless mouse or keyboard?
If you do either one will prevent it from hibernating.
They both send a constant signal to your computer.
