Just wondering. She was a great writer and very intelligent, but I dont think I've ever heard her voice.

No, she only co-wrote and rapped. Left eye herself wants known to be able to carry a tune. Infact, if you look on any TLC cd booklets, you'll see that the songs background singers were Tboz, Chili and another girl by the name of Megan. She sang backup on many of the groups tracks
on Left Eye's solo album "supernova" ... she doenst sing, she only raps and she has backup singers to help her out

Yes She actually wrote alot of the songs along with the producers (Not just the raps but actually wrote the verses and hooks) And she sang background. T-Boz was Lead, Chilli was second Lead, and Left Eye was the Rapper/Background Vocalist, My manager was internship at the recording label they were signed to and he got to visit alot of their recording sessions so I know alot about TLC music wise anyways

Yes, she sang basically on all the tracks by TLC, she sang: Waterfalls, Unpretty, etc

I think she was more of a background vocalist when she wasn't rapping on one of their songs.
