The big one, the one 75 miles north of Chicago, is spelled "Milwaukee."

Any place that can claim the title of "beer capital of the western hemisphere" can't be all bad. There's the new ballpark, bratwurst, the lakefront, and Harley Davidson. What more do you want?

I love Milwaukee. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Chicagoan, but I really think Milwaukee is a great city. It's got a small town vibe going for it but at the same time offers all the amenities you'd expect from a big city.

Looking forward to moving there or Madison after I am done with school in Chicago. I am having a hard time finding unbiased information on Milwaukee, because I do not want to move there if it is just another Chicago.

Great little city. great beer factory tours (free beer at the end!) great restaurants (Brett Favre still has a place there I believe. The sausage plate was great and they brew the beer on the premises), great lakefront, great Summerfest (much better than crappy Taste of Chicago), great new baseball park, easy to get to from Chicago...
