if i download winzip, will it do something to my computer?

Winzip will not do anything bad to your computer.
It is only a software that allows you to extract files that are compiled and compressed into a single .zip file. But I strongly suggest that you use winrar instead, since most people these days uses winrar to compress files (.rar files). Winzip does not have the capability to unzip/extract the contents of the .rar files. On the other hand, winrar has the capability to extract/unrar the contents of a .zip files which proves to be more usefull than winzip. Hope this helps! :D

Winzip not good, WinRAR is better.

It shouldn't do anything harmfull. But make sure the sire you dowload it from is legit like dowload.com
