I sometimes received spams from some friends in my ym. one of them is like this:

"please help! My friend, Mr. X , in urgent needs blood type A for his baby in the mother's womb because the mother now lacks of oxygent and cause the baby lacks of blood! please call xxxx."

it is possible i have had it happen with my twins my one twin daughter was having problems but there is no way to replace it the mother would be put on bed rest in the hospitial and be given a high risk pregnancy dr and the baby would be monitored very closley with fetal heart monitors and ultra sounds

its possible and not very common but seriously dought thered be any need of blood that would be to much risk the mother would be put on a special diet bed rest and meds and more then likely closely monitored

--Yes --they could if the moms diet deficiency or is anemia for another reason..Or the umbilical cord is damaged or tangeled..
