regrettably, numerous battery myths are accessible. maximum of them were actual about 10 years in the past even as laptop batteries used a nickel cadmium chemistry. they're no longer actual with cutting-part lithium ion batteries and with cutting-part smart chargers. you may go away your laptop plugged in each and every of the time. it gained't decrease battery existence. you may fee the battery as a lot as complete in spite of ways some distance it is been drained. With cutting-part laptop batteries, purely 2 issues will decrease their existence: a million) Leaving the battery completely drained for more effective than a week or so will decrease its existence. 2) Leaving the battery in fairly warm or chilly temperatures will decrease its existence. (So do not go away it in a motor vehicle in the course of the sunlight hours.) no matter if a number of the loopy recommendations reported might want to improve battery existence by using 5% or 10%, they does no longer be properly really worth the absurd inconvenience. it truly is a lot handier to have your battery completely charged once you want it. And preserving your battery as charged as attainable reduces the probability of leaving it discharged, and which could honestly decrease its existence.. attempting to artwork your existence round what can make a moderate enormous difference in battery existence is stupid besides.

Your laptop charges whenever it is plugged in. If you are using it, it will charge slower than if you had it shut down. Either way, it should be fully charged if you leave it plugged in overnight. Read your instruction guide to get a better idea on how long it takes your computer to charge.

No. you need to plug your laptop into the wall with an AC adapter that should have been included with your laptop.
Leaving your laptop on DEcharges the battery, like any battery.
