Most search engines have a 'clear' button for that. Look around the search page or in search options.

You can't just erase the history to get rid of the searches. You have to erase your "cookies" through your internet options. That takes away all traces of where you been on the net. Good luck with that..but FYI...you shouldn't be going anywhere on the net that you'd be ashamed of. LOL

the best way isto go to tools internet options, delete your cookies, delete files, and then delete your history that way there is nothing in your address box drop down list or any trace of what and where your searched

Jodi I assume you are referring to the addresses that remain in you address bar at the top of internet explorer. Just go to "Tools", then "Internet Options", then "Clear History" this will reset your address bar to ....well nothing.

switch to firefox browser latest version 1.5.0.4 and set it up to "clear your private data when closed" ..that will give peace of mind... you dont have to worry ....not willing to use another browser than IE then follow the recommendations of the other users ..they are valid also.

They're in your history. If you can, go through your history and search for the one that you want to delete.
For example, if I looked up "Poop" on google, you would find
http://www.google.com/search?hs=jdP&hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&q=poop&btnG=Search
And delete it. (You know it's that one because it says "poop" at the end.)
