The kids now a days are so rude and disrespectful because the world is rude and disrespectful. You know if everyone was just kind and considerate and thought about people other than theirselves then the world would be a much better place. Thanks for bringing up that question!

I work with high school students and I do have to say that
most are pretty respectful. The students that are not are usually the ones that come from families that only have one parent or both parents are working. Society as a whole has become so rude and disrepectful. I think that we should go back to the good old days when it was alright to discipline your children and everyone in the neighborhood was involved as a community. The saying "It takes a village" used to work, now everyone is so busy making money and trying to get ahead that they forget the basic parenting skills. I think that following the golden rule is always the best way to go. No one wants to get involved and no one really wants to make an effort to take the time to spend with a child or even another adult for that matter to teach them or better yet share with them the basic principles which are: Love,Compassion, Understanding, and the most important Discipline. If we spent more time being nice to each other this problem would be a solution and no longer a problem.

Everyone changes over the years. Be sure to look out for some nice teenagers though. They are out there.
People arent rude and disrespectful for a reason. They've got something going on in their life. Why would someone be mean for a reason?

There are many reasons as to why this is happening. Lack of good AEducation in schools, the rate of boys going to college dropped 33% this year. There's also alot of bad parenting. And studies show that divorced parents have a huge negative affect on how the child will act. Also it's the media. There's a lot of bad things going on on T.V, in Video games, and sometimes in Music even. Bad Influences, that's what I tell you.

Because they are too pampered. Kids that do not know the meaning of manners and good behaviour may inherit from parents the same things which gets worse by the generation.

These kids do not know the meaning of hard work or discipline. Unless you have a really good parent(s), chances are they'll grow as brats with pubes.

Children are our mirror image. If you don't like what you see then something is wrong. Parenting is a full time job. We are our children's guide. A little story: A teen was caught lying to her mother. The mother and father was very upset. Why are you doing this they scream? The phone rings, it is for the father. The mother answers the phone. The father tells her to say I am not here. Why is the child lying? Wouldn't know would you?

Modernization and technology gives the kids all the pictures of violence making them rude and disrecpectful. The kids are exposed to so many shows that they are not supposed to watch due to negligence of media companies to screen what kids are not supposed to watch. Unlike in the past, kids are taught only by the elders on what to do without being shown by what technology gives them.

Rude and disrespectful parents. Or parents too lazy to teach their kids right from wrong.

Because kids nowadays are being raised by kids. Girls are having babies at 12 years old now. They are clueless when it comes to parenting because they have no life experiences to share, no wisdom to pass on, and no patience to deal with problem children - like themselves.

It's not the kids fault. It is society's fault as a hole. "Monkey see, monkey do." They only do as they see in the media. Parnets talk to you kids and most important listen to them because if you don't they will go out and find some else who will and that might not always be with the right person.
