I'd suggest Always. It's what I use most. They have slender ones which she may find more comfortable, as they're smaller and geared towards petite, younger people. I would recommend Kotex, cause I find them really comfortable, almost silky, but they have still strange velcro thing, instead of the sticky wings, that I just can't get used to.

Stay away from the TAMPONS, as there has been more incidents of toxic shock syndrome cause from them, than are actually being reported. Pads, only, the mini pads are great! A small brand is "Always"....

Since she got her period and if she's bleeding heavy, I'd suggest Maxi pads with wings for heavy.

Kotex has these AMAZING pads that are ultra thin and extra-long. I swear by them. lol, obviously. They're so thin, it's easy to forget you're wearing it...they come with or without wings.

Always with wings, the size will depend on her flow. I suggest the thin type, They are comfortable and will make her less self conscienous about it all.
