That's really a though provoking question. I am impressed.
Would they be able to chose the method themselves, or would the state regulate it to insure that they wouldn't end up just maiming themselves or become incapacitated? Would they be tested psychologically to determine if they were just depressed, and if they were, would that disqualify them from committing suicide on the premise that they aren't capable of making that decision? If someone commits a crime severe enough to be sentenced to life without parole, could it be argued that they weren't in their right mind because who would deliberately choose to do something that would lead to life-long incarceration unless there was something wrong with their cognitive abilities? If that's true, then how could they be judged capable of making the decision to end their life? Would anyone profit from their suicide? Who? Would an incentive be offered? What about opposition groups? Would they hold up each suicide attempting to block it in the courts adding to an already overloaded legal system?

Yes, they should. I think everyone should have the right to their own death.
Any reasons for prolonging said life in prison without parole, makes the "cruel and unusual" punishment definition, if the prisoner prefers death to it.

by the standards of american morality i can only say no. but then again they do have the death penalty which is the exception because the state have not just the authority but the right justified by authority.prisoners have no authority therefore they have no right to take their own lives.the same rule applies to religion that says god created man in a horrible world and man should never escape by taking his own life.its the higher powers that want that right to do it.thats what you call ultimate power.

i'm a firm believer in the right to suicide...once you're of legal age ofcourse. maybe we could even extend the age to 25 or something. definitely if you are never gonna be on the free side of the wall again. save tax payer dollars.

no they should not. and besides that i think they should be forced to live in cells without light, bed, toilets, and should be fed moldy heels of bread once every 2 days, and should only get one 8 ounce glass of water every 2 days as well! let them suffer but not die

How would they stop him lol? If he commited a crime harsh enough for life, he surely wouldn't mind breaking the law not to kill himself.

Yes. Either way, society will have less criminally insane psychopaths to deal with. Besides, it should save us millions in taxpayer dollars.
