It depends.
Are talking about "Statute Miles" here in the USA?
Or, Nautical Miles, like on the ocean?
If it is South American , like in Brazil, I just read that a new Toyota Truck killed 4 Brazilian soldiers. I don't know how many miles that truck would have had to go to do that, but, even if those soldiers were standing a few feet apart that truck had to have at least a half Brazilian miles on it.

In Montreal, Canada a few years ago there was a black 1963 Plymouth taxi that was still in operation, and it had close to 1.3 Million miles on it.
So, I wouldn't worry too much about 180,000

Some cars are still OK with this milage as far as the engine goes if they were well maintained. Mercedes and BMW can go 500K miles (I have seen a few). The rest of the car might be trash though...

Depends on the car and how well it was taken care of by the previous owner. Typically, however, on a Japanese car or diesel, no. On an American car, yes. But again, I've seen cars break down at 20k because the last person didn't change the FREAKING OIL! Idiots.

ha, "if it's american, yes" all these idiots need to stop believing every word the media says and start thinking for themselves, except for the few people who said something about chevy's. a chevy truck got over 500,000 miles? ha, i know a chevy truck that was on the news that had TWICE that. yes, a guy rolled over his 6 digit odometer. wow. GM and Chrysler vehicles are good quality, if it's a ford though, i'm surprised it's lasted that long. i have a nissan right now that has 145,000 miles on it and it's starting to consume oil because the rings are going out. my friend's chevy suburban has 200,000 miles and it doesn't use a drop. does that tell you anything?

As long as the vehicle is properly maintained, there really isn't a "too much". I heard the other day about a chevy truck that hit 500,000 and the odometer stopped but the truck still runs, and I know several people who have owned 2- or 300,000 vehicles.

It really depends on what kind of car it is and how well it was maintained. My vehicle has over 210,000 miles and runs excellent. Nissans, Toyotas, Hondas are good.
