Pacific Beach, or Mission Beach. Ocean Beach is more a lifestyle than a place just to go to the beach. Night life is good in PB, but I prefer downtown in the Gaslamp. If you just wanted to stick to ONE place PB has it all. Go up Garnet, there's everything you can possibly do here's a cool website:

Pacific Beach (PB as it's known to the locals) is the best in the area. Stay away from the Ocean Beach area. The night life is great (lots of good bars on and off the beach.
After you've had to much to drink, stop by the Broken Yolk for breakfast (on Garnet Ave). It's a very good, popular breakfast place.

Balboa park has all sorts of stuff to do. On sundays you could bypass and on the prada there are street performers. also look at the museums there and the zoo is giant (toddler panda is so wonderful.) previous city isnt to a procedures away and its interesting to stroll round there and look on the dep. shops and to analyze out the whaley living house. also you could bypass right down to pb look at the dep. shops human beings watch and performance lunch
