Look at some of the junior colleges. My 10th grader has been accepted to a magnet program with our school district where next year he will study the computer portion of diagnosing automobiles, the 11th grade he'll apply the knowledge of diagnosing to the car and the third year he'll have a paid internship with a dealership. When he graduates, he'll have 12 hours of college credit at a nationally accredited junior college toward automotive technology. Too bad they didn't have this when we were in high school! A good friend of mine went to the same said Junior College and transfered then to a university. He is now a diagnostician for a dealership on his way to manager.
