This can only lead you to ask the question, from where to did man come from. Study human biology and its incredible complexity and you will understand that man did not invent God, rather, there is no explanation for where we came from except for God. Invent isn't a good word. Man intrinsically has always understood through-out every time period and every culture that God exists.

Maybe the only way man could explain the wonders they saw was to invent a divine creator. The absence of science forced them to create their own reasonings for things that they saw going on around them. In Norse mythology the God Thor was said to create thunder because the people could not possibly understand how thunder was created.

i can tell that most people answering here are believers , and those unfortunately you cannot reason with , because in order for you to believe , you automatically say " there are some things in the world i do not have to understand " so all paradox is ignored , and all inconsistencies are forgiven and all proof is unnecessary .
man invented god to explain what he did not understand in the world surrounding him. as he understood more the need for a super power controlling every thing diminishes, answer me this : what is the purpose of god in creating congenital diseases? it is just a random occurrence in genes , there are so many affected humans , it just proves human creation is not perfect nor planned at all

The concept of external deities was originally seeded on Earth by other species as a social control mechanism that takes advantage of the penchant of those in group belief systems to defer to externals. There really are no deities or gods, angels and other functional projections other than as thought forms existing by virtue of the energy directed toward them by believers. Without that energy, the forms eventually fade into disuse. Religions constitute experiential loops to be overcome. The only thing one can do on an incarnational level is trust yourself. You do this more as your own unique individualism begins to manifest itself.

Well, that is a current event question. I don't know the reality of this but as I've grown older I believe man is the at root of all the evil of the world and there is no heaven, this is the[ mentioned in the book ]hell and reincarnation is the only possibility.because animals are the only true live things here we are prisoners of the grind and are destroying this place all in the name of getting it done
