YA, I AGREE WITH THE SEVEN, BUT I USE THE LIQUID FORM THAT YOU SPRAY ON. AFTER IT DRIES ITS OK. THE POWDER STAYS FOR AWHILE. READ THE DIRECTIONS AND DECIDE WHAT WILL BE BEST FOR YOUR SITUATION. BELIEVE ME IT WILL KILL THEM DEAD AS HELL AND YOU WONT HAVE TO BUILD A FORTRESS! GOOD LUCK....

Get some birds that eat these jumping manace.
In event if you are unable to purchase the birds, get some wire mesh / webbing (the smaller the holes the better), fence up the garden plots that you want.
If it is the grass that is being affected, shaped the wire mesh like a shoe box cover, pls extend the size for your plot if neccesary to suit the plot size.
Starve off the grasshoppers.

Keep the grass short and the gardens weeded. I've only ever really noticed them in tall grass.

Use Sevin dust or if you want to be more environmentally friendly, try spraying garlic juice and lemon juice watered down a little.
