Because when when humans are fetuses, we are not a specific sex until a certain age, I believe somewhere around 8 weeks, I'm not too sure so don't go on this. But we all have the some parts in the beginning, hence nipples? Well what becomes testicles in males, becomes ovaries in females, nipples and males are still there but develop no specific function, while females they do get functions. Also what is the clitoris in females, develops into a penis for males. Hope this helps.

All men have undeveloped female reproductive systems. The Y chromosome causes (before birth) the elaboration of testosterone, which initiates the anatomical changes that lead to male anatomy. Absence of testosterone leads to the continued development of female anatomy, which is the default mode which will occur in the event of testosterone resistance, Yielding an apparent female with XY chromosomes (sterile, of course).

Because when a baby is in the womb it isn't determined immediately whether the baby will be a girl or boy.
Penises are like vaginas turned the other direction....that's why the clitoris resembles a penis. And that is why all babies are born with nipples.

When we are all created (sperm in egg), We are all MAMALS--we are all XX (girl) up until about 13 weeks inutero. For some reason the testosterone gene kicks in and that is when boys become boys. But we all start the same (homosapian). All mamal males have nipples because of this.

some people say it's God playing a joke, but i have also heard it's because while the fetus is developing it takes a while before the baby is differentiated into a boy or a girl, but by then the the nipples have already developed.

Because we all start off as female in the womb and then it is sorted out later on. Some female traits are left - like nipples.
Or evolution is at work and men will eventually be the ones
to have and breast feed the babies.

In the womb, EVERY single fetus starts off female.
A penis is just a very large clitoris.
Nipples are, well, nipples.

It's simpler genetically to just make them. They're not hurting anything. Why NOT have them? No good answer to that one. One set of genetic instructions is simpler than two, and nature will generally do what's simplest when it can.
Besides, ever hear of pacifiers?

All children begin as female... it's only the y chromosome that causes them to produce testosterone that causes them to develop into males. Best wishes
