Since you have given 18 inches as deep, naturally the other one is the diameter of the cylinder. Even other wise both are almost equal.

We can take height and diameter as 1.5 foot.

A cube of this size will have 1.5 x1.5 x1.5 = 3.375 cubic foot.

A cylinder will have 0.78 times the volume of this cube. 0.78 x 3.375 = 2.7 cubic foot.

You have to clarify what you mean by "deep" and "length".

The formula for the volume of a cylinder is pi * r^2 * the height of the cylinder. In your problem you need to know which dimension is the height, then translate the other dimension into the radius (r) of the circle. You will also need to translate the results from inches into cubic feet (divide by 12^3).

If you can't get the answer from the mfgr. tag on
the back of the machine, or by asking any appliance repair person; It's 27.84 cubic ft.
That's if my math is correct, and you're talking about a 19 inch diameter cylinder that is 18 inches deep.

I assume by "deep" you mean the diameter across the top of the cylinder, and by "length", you mean the length of the cylinder or depth of the water

the equation is pi*r^2*h

or 3.14*(9)^2*19 = 4832 cubic inches

4882/1728 (cub inch/cubic ft) = 2.8 cub ft or about 21 gallons

To find volume you must also have breadth.

If it is cylindrical, what is the radius?

18 inches=18/12=1.5 feet and 19 inches=19/12 feet.

Volume=pi x r^2 x length where r is radius.

One of those measurements, I assume, to be the diameter and the other the length along the centerline of the cylinder. If you IM me which is which, I can tell you how to do the calculation. Or, for a suitable fee, do it for you.:)
