My first job was at Radio Shack, right at the height of the cb radio and personal computer boom. A customer came in and asked me for 12 feet of coax, and I didn't have a clue what that was, very embarrassing, but by the time I left, I knew how to program a vcr, and install an under the dash stereo..

my first paying job was as the neighborhood babysitter.
Then I went on to volunteer at a day care center just to get the experience.. Then in highschool I worked at toy store for about a year and a half.. Then I went to a secretarial school to get skills like typing, computers, ten key by touch etc..
The more things that I can list on my resume the better. Even if it's something like assisting as a volunteer on any committees

I worked at a place called top dog an arcade slash hot dog stand I was 15 so I thought it would be cool to work there it wasn't. Hearing all those same sounds over and over again ugh. I meant the arcade machines

babysitting- i was 13 and i took care of 3 boys every day after school for 2.5 hrs- i did this for 3 yrs and i made $25 /wk and i saved most of it
